We all start out as beginners
You might know the feeling. You see a great artwork, and you follow the link to someone's profile... And wow! All the artworks are amazing - and better than your own. "I would love to be this good", you might say - or, often, "I'll never be this good". Well, the artist wasn't always that good either. While their gallery might seem fantastic at first glance, you might scroll down... and find older, less good works. Like all artists, they have improved over time. What is the implication of this? That you might be as good, obviously. At one time, they were at the stage you are now. With time and practice they have improved, and they have eventually reached the skill level they have now. The difference between you and them usually is that they merely started earlier. (Now, mind that people's paths are different. Some people practice a lot, some do not. Some people study intensively, some do not. Some dabble in a lot of styles and try a lot of techniques, some focus on one thing only.
